I came on your website to see when your new CD came out. I was looking forward to your comeback. Upon checking out your website, I saw Scott's "political" blog. Are you some kind of a moron? My freakin' 10 year old has more political insight than you... "Barack Obama is an amazing President. He is smart and has tackled more issues in one year than our former President did in his entire term because he was only focused on the war (AKA ‘weapons of mass destruction’)."
I live on a sailboat in Alaska, and have discovered a new fan base. The Dall Porpoises(Porpae?) here in Southeast Alaska are very sociable and curious around people. They are often seen playing alongside boats, doing laps around the hull as you speed through the water, only the fastest boats can match their speed.
While anchored near Juneau, a pair of Porpoises would often pass within a half mile of the boat at near Sunset. The trick for porpoise viewing in a boat that is not moving: Stone Temple P
Good call. I think you're right the intros were variations on Press Play and Daisy. This was actually the first time I've seen STP live and was not disappointed. I was a little bummed there was nothing from Shangri-La, only Trippin', Press Play and Daisy from Tiny Music plus Down and Sour Girl from No. 4, but honestly I would have been happy with any collection of songs as I believe each album built on the last in its own way. I'm REALLY looking forward to hearing their new materi
So, no BS, I work for a band called Super 400, and critics most often compare them to bands like Led Zep, sound garden, black door slam, AND stone temple pilots. I wouldn't be here if I didn't think STP fans would dig this band. so bear with me.
Their 5th studio album, "Sweet Fist," comes out on Sept 15 and was recorded at Ardent Studios (think Stax Records) entirely on 2inch tape. No Protools, no autotune.
“Hey Stone Temple Pilots, have you heard of the Rock Band Network yet? It’s an initiative that gives bands and labels the ability to bring their own music to the video game Rock Band. I’m a huge fan of Rock Band and I’d love to see some of your songs in the game. You can head over to http://creators.rockband.com/ for more info. I hope to see you in
My Name is Scott Valentine and I'm the lead singer of Black Hat Villain, a rock band from Victoria, BC, Canada. I've been incredibly inspired by STP and Scott Weiland since high school many moons ago along with Eddie and Kurt and other great voices of our generation.
BHV has created something pretty magical and although we're just getting the wheels turning in this giant machine they call "The Biz" we certainly hope some of you might find the inclination/inspiration to check out
I agree: rock shows can be difficult, but -and I'm showing my age here - I remember the Grateful Dead's soundmen Dan Healy and later, John Cutler, making the old crappy-acoustics Boston Garden sound as crystal clear as a CD! I guess it depended on where you were in the room, as that can make a huge difference. Trust me, the sound gripe is a very minor one for me, as I totally agree with you that Scott and the band were in top form and put on a great show!! What's this about a new alb
I enjoyed this show alot, I thought the sound was pretty good except for a few songs. rock shows can be difficult when it comes to sound quality but this wasn't too bad. 18 songs and the band was amazing! scott was really moving. can't wait for the new album and tour.
In case you hadn't heard, stp are working on a new album for release "around christmas" says scott. their are other posts on the board and the old board that talk about this with news from articals. about 10 out of the 18 songs written have vocals and are rough demos. STP will be back soon! rock on people!
Im from the northeast and going to the 7/15 show at the verizon in manchester. I was able to snag tix without joining the fan club as im low on cash at the moment and the seats are decent. Yes people it can be done! Good luck to everybody getting tix though. And remeber, don't despair the pliots will tour off their new album when its out and much more, you'll get your chance i'm sure of it.
Anyone know how the ticket prices for this is going?? I saw on ticketmaster.com that the prices range from $41.00 - US $171.00. Is it going to be the more picey tickets to get on the floor do you think??
I want to go, seeing them 5 times already in a year, I would really like to hear some different songs ya know? If Im coughing up MORE cash to see them (I LOVE them thats not the problem, just can't validate seeing them do the same songs again) if I will hear one or two differ
I ran across this band Oedipus at the House of Blues in LA on Wednesday night. I went to see my friend's band and Oedipus played right after them. HOLY EFFING ESS! They're a 3 piece, bassist is the LV. They're like Coheed meets Muse. Tons of energy, and really good musicianship. I found their myspace here:
