    Well, I guess I wasn't looking to compare STP to other bands so much as simply stating the obvious - the fewer musicians you have on stage, the more critical it is everyone carries their weight to pull off each song.  I thought about it a little bit, and I can't actually remember a concert where I felt like the lead guitarist was "hiding" behind the rhythm guitarist or keyboards, but I have been to shows where sometimes I felt things were getting lost in the mix and it was hard to tell whether anyon

    Good call.  I think you're right the intros were variations on Press Play and Daisy.  This was actually the first time I've seen STP live and was not disappointed.  I was a little bummed there was nothing from Shangri-La, only Trippin', Press Play and Daisy from Tiny Music plus Down and Sour Girl from No. 4, but honestly I would have been happy with any collection of songs as I believe each album built on the last in its own way.  I'm REALLY looking forward to hearing their new materi

    Well, this is the second time in 2009 that I have seen STP (8 times total).  The other was back in July at Merriweather Post Pavillion in Columbia, MD.  Both shows in 2009 have been stellar.  The one last night in Greensboro was amazing.  The guys really seem tight musically and sound  outstanding.  Scott seems all about the music and is proving why he's the best front man ever.  I do miss him being more animated at times, but I'll take this version of Scott and feel bl

    Just wanted to say the Spokane show last night was amazing. BRMC led things off with some great songs (I'm on iTunes right now looking at some of their songs) and after a short wait STP hit the stage. From the start it was pretty apparent that these guys were on their game. Honestly you're not sure what to expect from Scott but I have to say that he looked good and sounded great.     The show tonight was very underwhelming. BRMC seemed very annoyed and tense, probably from the previous night's events. They played an amazing set and floored us. Really took out their anger on stage.

    STP hit the stage. Scott was obviously strung out. His voice was not up to par at first, but it didn't matter because the audience drowned him out anyway. They only played the hits, that kinda sucked. It was cool to see STP live, but man, the tension in the band was awful. Rob

    Hey guys the show happened and the guys got through it.....but.......Scott slogged his way through three quarters of the show. there came a point where scott was visibly flipping off eric on stage and dean had to step in between the two. there were high points but these guys are definitely fighting some demons. good luck to the boys but i think the end is near. i wouldn't recommend anyone to shell out top dollar expecting vintage scott and stp
